Smile A/C Foam Filter

Any good place to get the foam filter material other than CW or a dealer?
This is for a roof system.

Rvten,

I replaced the foam filter material in my old Bounder and bought it at Ace True Value and cut it to fit. Look for it in the air filter section. It was the same material.

Bought mine at Lowes also....they are used for window units and not with the normal central air filters...as I recall, they were near the pipe insulation and water heater jackets...jus cut to fit...should be able to get at least 3 replacements per pack...buy 2 and you'll have 6 replacements...

Tried ACE today no luck.
Went to Lowes looked around till my back hurt from the walking.
Busy Saturday there. Have to go back later in the week when not so busy. Maybe I can get some floor help.

Checked filter area, plumbing area.
My A/C is a Coleman Polar Cub ducted . Filter is part # 6798A3761. One big piece.
Found filters on line at $10.99 to 15.99.

At Lowes they are packaged in flat clear plastic bags in the filter area.

I mentioned earlier that it isn't in the a/c filter section....it's in a section near the a/c vents (registers)...vents like in the floors of trailers and ceilings of houses...i think the pipe insulation was near this area too....this filter is for a window unit and you jus need to cut it to fit your unit....I attached a pic...

Providing that your overhead ceiling A/C vent is large enough, while you are at Lowe's, check to see if they carry the 3M Filtrete Allergen 1900 filter in the one inch thick 14 X 14 inch size.

I found those in the Santa Clarita Lowe's 2 years ago. I use the foam as a pre-filter which I can vacuum but I also use the Allergen 1900 to trap all of the stuff that the foam does not.

They weere put away for the winter with the window A/C units.
But they went and found me one.
