2018 vista wiper blades

I found replacement wiper rubber, 32" long, for my 32YE VISTA. These should work on any 2018, and I think the 2017 and 2019 also.

Since the stock wipers worked fine, I wanted to replace just the rubber. However, finding the 6mm material long enough can be an issue. I couldn't believe Amazon had it.

To replace, it's advised to take the wiper arm off the J hook first. With the blades off, the end cap will easily slip off if you know the trick, which is pretty easy to figure out. It only takes a small blade screwdriver to pry up the metal ends while tugging on the end-cap slightly. With both metal ends pried up, (one at a time) the cap slides off. With the cap off, the rubber insert will easily slide out of the arm, leaving the spring steel backers in the arm. If you're careful, the spring steel backers will stay in the arm while you slide in the new rubber replacement. There is no trimming needed, 32" is a perfect fit. Next, slide the end cap back on, making sure the steel backers click in place so the cap cannot slip off. Then, reinstall the arm. It's pretty straight-forward. $14 and you have new wipers.

Looks like a good alternate for doing the big expense of changing out the whole setup! Good find. I deal with storing the RV in Texas where the sun eats anything rubber and have learned to avoid the hassle of replacing the rubber portion by just slipping it off the arm while stored. But I also had problems finding a rational way to replace the blades and found I could do fine with a one inch shorter blade than stock and that did move it into a more standard off the shelf buy.
Now the big question is whether the item you reference will still be there when we need replacements? Online products seem to change out more often than I change shirts!
Good find for now, though. Thanks.
