I am attempting to pull the screen out to check the fuse. The bezel and temperature unit have been removed. The temperature unit has been reinstalled since it didn’t seem to have any effect on removing the screen. I can’t pull the screen out-it seems to be held back by the dash. It slides in an out about 1/2 inch. If I could lift the dash it might come out but would probably break the dash. Attached is a photo of the situation. I need help. Thank you, WJB

In my experience, there is a video plug that connects the screen to the head unit below. The display wire assembly is terminated with a 90 degree plug and it simply just plugs in - no mechanical lock to keep it in place. The screen is just the display, the head unit does the work so without the video plug, the display won't work.
If I recall, you can pull out the MBS climate control panel and see some portion of the back of the head unit. Pulling the head unit is quite difficult so checking the back of the head unit without removal is highly recommended.
There are a number of YouTube videos that aide in the breakdown of the MBS center dash assembly.
