Question 2007 Winnie Voyage Wind Sensor Replacement

We have this white housing, that we believe is the wind sensor. The connection wire seems to be okay, but the housing is broke and needs replaced. Now to figure out where to get one. Would you call Winnebago or Dometic/A&E? I can't seem to find a direct answer by searching the number inside it. It's located on the roof up front above the passenger seat.

Thanks

Why would there be a “Wind Sensor” on your RV? Do you have some gauge that reports such a reading?

For the awning. It has a wind sensor for automatic rolling up for wind. When I google the number inside the white housing, it comes up as a wind sensor

Wow, I’m still surprised. The automatic retracting awnings I’ve seen don’t use wind sensors. They use motion sensors so when the wind buffets the awning it senses that movement. I’ve learned something new.

The number inside the white housing is 02-011703-E. Always comes back as. Wind Sensor from Dometic.

It is indeed the wind sensor for the patio awning, although I'm not sure how effective they ever were (In 16 years I've never actually had the opportunity to test mine!).

Well my 2005 Sightseer has such a sensor, and it's overly reactive to the wind. It's a pain. I'll put the awning out on a day with a little wind, and turn my back to find it's retracted its self. And there seems no way to adjust its sensitivity. Some people say theirs has a switch to turn off the device. That seems better than nothing.
The previous owner ripped of the awning because he left it out. I'm guessing that might have made replacing it with a sensored unit seem a good idea to him. I'd have said I couldn't possibly do such a thing, but now in my 70's I've discovered, to my dismay, I'm quite able to forget such things now.

I have one on my 2004 horizon, it’s broke and went to fix it, turns out it’s not actually a wind sensor its a barometer, According to the manufacturer, mine is no longer available.
If it was a wind sensor it would need some sort of propeller to know the wind speed.
Nothing in there but a circuit board.
