Well my 2005 Sightseer has such a sensor, and it's overly reactive to the wind. It's a pain. I'll put the awning out on a day with a little wind, and turn my back to find it's retracted its self. And there seems no way to adjust its sensitivity. Some people say theirs has a switch to turn off the device. That seems better than nothing.
The previous owner ripped of the awning because he left it out. I'm guessing that might have made replacing it with a sensored unit seem a good idea to him. I'd have said I couldn't possibly do such a thing, but now in my 70's I've discovered, to my dismay, I'm quite able to forget such things now.
