2006 Itasca Hood Paddle Latch

My paddle latch to open the hood is in the chassis fuse panel area, first luggage door on the drivers side. The latch finally broke. I am trying to find a replacement to match on Ebay or Amazon. I could not find the part on the Winnie parts diagram.

Maybe You Have A Trimark 30-900 Lock?

Maybe your lock is like many used on DP coaches?

If so you may only need a lock adjustment? I.e., if that paddle is flopping and does not catch, then all you need to do is...

* Separate the lock halves by unscrewing the inside star bolts.

* With the door open, remove the inspection cover on the edge of the door. It's just a thin plate that measure about 1"x1".

* Remove the locking nut using a 1/8" drive, 7/16" deep socket.

* Separate the lock halves.

* Bend the tap on the outside half of the locking plate... down just a tad.

* This will allow the lock to engage again.

* Reassemble and follow the adjustment instructions after you read more about these locks in one of these other threads:

The wheel inside the latch that curls up the cable broke off. I tried a paddle latch from a recliner chair. Close but did not work.
