2001 Winnebago Chieftain compartment door

I managed to mangle one of the compartment doors on an otherwise perfect 2001 Winnebago. Any one know where to find a used one or a place to have a new on made?

google winnebago parts, there is an outfit in Iowa that most likely has your part. I don't remember their name.

Hi Daveb PT,
There is a Winnebago Owners forum on iRV2. Your question may be better answered in that forum. On the iRV2 main page, scroll down to the Owner's Corner. There you will find the Winnebago Owner's Forum.

Lichtsinn Motors HERE ,a dealer a mile or so from the Winnebago factory can get it if it is still available. Have your VIN handy if you call them. They can cross the VIN to your Winnebago ID number. You might want to ask for the ID number and keep a record of it for future use.

I got a quote from Winnebago while I was at the factory for one of mine and it was high - close to $800 as I recall.

Thanks for the help. The part is no longer made by Winnebago so it is having one made or a used one. Just need to find a metal fabricator who works with aluminum. Really only need the top half of door which is riveted to lower section and 2 braces. The old hardware except hinges will be used again.
