1999 Winnebago Brave Blinkers and Emergency Flashers work intermittently

Hi,

I've had an issue where my emergency flashers and left and right turn signals work intermittently. Break lights do work.

If I apply the breaks I can manually turn a light on and off.

I did apply the relays already, and this did not do anything.

I am wondering if there is something in the circuit that causes this to work intermittently or if I have to replace the multi function assembly (the turn signal itself.)

Maybe someone might have experience with this particular issue.

Thanks,

Steve

Without knowing the make, model and year of your RV I'm just guessing; but the first place I'd look is the clock spring connection under the steering wheel.

When I bought my Itasca, the brake lights and hazard lights didn't work and the mechanic that the stealership sent it to jury-rigged it to work. When I got it home I looked deeper and found a wire had broken off the back of the fuse panel and after I repaired it and undid the bush fix it all worked again. Your problem might be found at the back of the fuse panel like mine was!!

I had this issue. Solved by spraying electrical contact cleaner on the hazard switch, and exercising the brake pedal. I went online to find this technique. Good luck!

There appear to be drawings of the turn and exterior lights but to really sort it, we will need to know which model and floorplan/length as well as which chassis, Ford or Chevy to make it less guesswork on wiring colors, etc.

Also some info on whether this is only in the front or if both front and back are intermit!
If only on one end, it can then pretty well rule out being the switch and controls as they are common to both!

More info needed?
