1990 Warrior: Outside Wall Repair -Parts Source?
Has anyone out there ever replaced a section of a fiberglass and foam side wall?
My neighbors' construction crew's big lift-bed truck
misjudged how wide their box was and just clipped my left rear corner (revealing the shower) of my vintage Micro Mini Warrior. They just tore off a couple of feet of the rear left side wall and bent up the aluminum shell on the back.
I found a place online that sells the fiberglass on a roll. They have 4 foot wide and 8 foot wide -- but their prices with shipping are crazy for a small project. Clearly selling to manufacturers.
Does anyone know where a rig owner can buy single, say 4' x8', sheets of replacement panels? Does the wall material even come as a laminated sheet of foam with the fiberglass already glued to it? OR does it only come in discrete pieces of foam and fiberglass? Has anyone had any luck buying these materials? Perhaps from a repair shop?
Fortunately no windows were involved so the job will be to replace the one steel tubing "stud" in the back corner, some bits of wood and plywood in the rear, straighten out the bent sheet metal, and replace 3 feet of wall material.
Any sources or ideas would really be appreciated. Thanks!
