The tow hitch was initially rated for 5000lbs. But the tongue weight is under 500lbs.

Question is... after 20+ years is the hitch still in good shape for safe towing. I'd have it checked out. They are known to have cracks and even fail.

Yeah I read the specs on towing . . . but am curious if the V-10 has realitic power to tow that much?

Yes... and no. Your gas mileage will suffer and mountains will be slow.

Of course, your RV is 23 years old, so it's anybody's guess how powerful that engine still is.
