Yes, but I'm towing to a 2016 Forester manual transmission and all is fine so far.

We tow a Ford Edge and love it. I'm not a kid any more and really like how we sit in the Edge. Setting a vehicle up for towing is really very similar brand to brand, it's how well you like the vehicle that is the deciding factor. I don't go off road on purpose so don't need a 4x4, comfort of driving was my concern. Have fun with the selection!

If you search for dinghy guide online , there are downloads ( by model year) that will show which vehicles are 4 wheel (flat) towable. I have a 2007 Focus 5speed, and I'm in the process of changing to a 2013 Ford Flex AWD.
These web pages are great for finding if the car YOU LIKE is flat towable or not.
Brake systems are many and tow wiring is mostly the same no matter what car you decide on.
Good Luck.

We tow a Wrangler TJ - mainly because the Jeep is the purpose for many of our trips (offroading, fishing, etc.) I'm looking for a second option because the TJ Jeep isn't always the most pleasant to tour around in when sightseeing with a lot of highways, has little cargo area, and not real secure (locks). For us, either upgrade the Wrangler to the newer 4 dr, or maybe just jump to the F150 as an alternative and keep the Jeep for off road trips.

Thanks

Thank you for all the suggestions on which flat tow to use.
We have decided to get a 2014 CR-V. I know this will fit our lifestyle.

This is for a 2016 Forza Winnebago 38G diesel.

We have a Forza 36G and tow a Ford Edge AWD with a roadmaster setup.

We have about 8000 trouble free miles. Only unexpected issue toad batteries go dead after 3 to 4 hours. Added a charging line and problem solved.
