A Sahara JKU no less ! Congrats...

We got what the previous owner had tied to the rv, a billet silver sport...

And while it is the perfect toad and we like it...
I've done a lot of updates to make it more palatal as a daily driver...

"they" say the new 3.6L engine is great.... I'm not sure who 'they' are, guess "they've" never driven anything with an engine bigger than a sewing machine

good luck with it !

Congrats, GaDawgFan! Christmas has come early for you.

The Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited is a great toad. I'm on my 2nd Sahara. The first was a two door, which is better for rock crawling, but the 4 door is great to haul the 3 dogs and extra stuff in the back.

Niiice.
The funny thing is, I used to have a '00 TJ Sahara that I should never have sold and now I'm looking for a CJ that's 30+ years old.

Hey good for you. I just purchased the exact same vehicle. At 62 years old I feel like a kid again. Enjoy!

Not bad Sir, not bad at all. I'm not a big fan of black though. It's an outstanding color. It makes just about any car/truck/jeep/space ship/ look very, very rich. But, leave it in the sun for 10 seconds and, well, you know what happens. Anyway, I hope you have as much fun with your new toy as we had with our SEVEN JEEPS over a 25 year period.

My last one is pictured below. It was an '04 Yellow Rubicon. I did all the work on it. I did the lift, the custom bumpers, the custom side protection bars, the exhaust, interior roll bar, installation of Kilby-engine driven air compressor, installation of the 4:56 gears, the tow bar/recovery tab system, all of it. We used it for over 4 years and many, many happy off road trips. Many of them were at the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab. That Jeep went everywhere I pointed it.

But, after almost 30 years of Jeeping all over the planet, it was a time for change. That was almost 4 years ago. I do miss it now and then. It was nice to be able to be on a vacation with it some place and, see a dirt road and go, "let's head off on that road and see where it goes". I love exploration.

Anyway, that looks nice. "They" say the newer, as in '12s and newer, have a much better engine with more power and better MPG than the '07 - '11. I don't know, haven't owned or, even driven a Jeep after selling our '04. Maybe someday we'll have another one. Good luck with your new toy and I hope it serves you well.
Scott

I too had always wanted a wrangler so after having a stroke and recovering I was talkin to a buddy about it that use to have one told it is the biggest piece of nothing you will ever own then said he had missed it every day since he sold it. I got one any way and he was right its a beer can on wheels but I love it and drive it every day
