Is a Cheap TPMS Worth It?

I’m considering buying a Tymate solar TPMS, $66 on Amazon.
If anybody has installed one of the under $100 TPMS systems, please advise if they work as advertised, and whether it is necessary to rebalance your tires.
Thanks.

Well, considering you are betting your life on a reliable system, is $100 worth it?

I purchased a TireTraker system this winter. The price was reasonable. I've only taken it on one trip so far and as with anything else there is a learning curve. So far so good though.

Price does not necessarily always equate to quality.. That's just marketing hype.
I have $60 tymate systems installed on 5 of my vehicles. ALL have performed flawlessly. There's not one feature that I would change, and can't think of anything missing. Just read the reviews of scores of other users.
Spend the $200 you'll save on something of real value, such as a porcelain toilet!

One big thing that sold me on getting a TPMS was knowing what happens so often when a tire blows. It can be just a big headache and a day wasted at best or it can be as bad as what we saw today on the news.
Scary things happen and we saw the truck hanging off the bridge over a canyon-----only held from falling by the safety chains on the trailer which did fall over on the side and DID NOT go over the side!
so if the question is if the cheap TPMS is worthwhile? Definitely!!
Is a more expensive one worth it? Still definitely but whether it is worth ore, is still the question!
If my wife and I were in the truck looking at 100 feet or more to the ground, there is very little that I would not pay to not be there!

The Tymate display that shows all the tire pressures simultaneously is nice. I’m not a fan of the Eez tire display that slowly rotates through the tires.

I was looking at the Tymate 4 sensor system. It looks like it would work well but I decided to go with the TireMinder solar 4 sensor trailer system ($137 Amazon as of 3-17-21). The dedicated Tymate trailer system is $157 on Amazon. The difference is that it includes a repeater which is also included with the TireMinder system.
The other thing i was not sure about is the type of batteries installed. The TireMinder clearly states Lithium but I could not find info on the Tymate. Maybe I missed it. Either way I believe the something is better than nothing.
