Insert trim on side of outlook

Another question for ya...lol. I really appriciate the help all you guys and gals provide on this forum...thank you!
I have a 08 outlook 31c, there is a insert trim piece that runs down the side of the coach rite above the hatches. My question is, should those be caulked? Rite now theres no caulk or evidence of caulk on them. I am unsure if these are just a bumper trim or what... Thanks!!!

Those inserts should not be calked, just the metal on the outside.

I know not to caulk the plastic insert, just wasnt sure if the edge of the track to the wall should be done cause it wasnt on mine.

I have seen both ways, sometimes the trim (metal) is put on top of a bead of putty. Other times I have seen the metal edges sealed with caulking. Maybe somebody else will chime in.
