GMC Terrain

We just purchased a 14 GMC Terrain to tow 4 down. Looking at the manual, it says to remove fuse 32, the discrete logic ignition switch. When fuse 32 is removed, power to the cigarette lighter is disabled, making it impossible to have power to our braking system. Does anyone have any suggestions? And does fuse 32 really need to be removed, if we start the engine at fuel stops to charge the battery?

I used to tow a Terrain. I used a portable power jumper box that has a cig adapter. I would charge it at the end of each day from shore power or gen. It worked fine in the breaking system.

You do need to remove the fuse.

My Colorado 4x4 requires a complete battery disconnect. So I ran a fused lead direct from battery through the firewall to the driver footwell with a SAE connector that I can plug my BrakeBuddy into. Works just dandy.
