F53 Brake Controller and Harness

I just had a question asked of me by someone in one of my Facebook groups regarding an electronic brake controller. My RV has one that the previous owner installed so I've not really ever researched. In his case its a 2013 Vista 35B.

So my question is did Ford install a brake controller (or the basis for it) in all F53 chassis? I looked up the wiring diagram and don't see it called out but then went to etrailer and they had a diagram where it is located and a harness that is needed.
Is it really that easy to install one? I mean once you have all the parts and you contort youself into the most uncomfortable position you can think of to fit under the dash.
