Brake control connector location '08 Adventurer 38J

I just purchased a 2008 Adventurer 38J on a Ford chassis and am trying to find the connector under the dash for the brake controller to hook up to. I have looked from down under the dash, and have even pulled off the large cover on top of the dash, but I'll be damned if I can find the connector. Anyone have a solution to my problem? Pictures would sure be nice. Apparently after 2011 or 2012, the plug is mounted on the left of the steering column support, but not there on the older ones....
