Anderson weight distribution hitch

We are picking up our new 2020 Micro Minni 2106DS in a week or so. I was curious of what size of brackets I needed to order from them. Along with the mesurement to the bottom of the coupler when level. Any help would be appreated from the owers who purchased it.

Thanks in Advance,
Robert.

I just took our 2108DS out for this past week for the first time (just got back today) with a new Andersen WDH. I thought it worked real well considering I was dealing with 40mph winds on the trip out!

As you probably know, these TT's have 3 different height settings and mine is at the lowest setting. My frame measures only 17 inches off the ground, and the Andersen instructions would say you need the low profile brackets. I called Andersen and we came to the conclusion it was worth it to try the original brackets first. There were two reasons for this. First the low profile brackets cost money (i.e., they are an extra -- you always get the normal brackets). Second, and more important to me, the reason you'd want the low profile brackets is to not bottom out when going over a transition like a driveway...and I decided if that happens I'd want to have the whole camper raised up a notch or two. My recollection is that one setting brings it up 1.5" and the other another 2" -- or something like that.

Below is a picture under my 2108DS of the 3-level height adjustment. Not sure I'd do this adjustment myself. I like the lower setting and plan to leave it that way. The other picture is of the rig connected to my tow vehicle. I have the 8 inch drop version.

Hi There - did you need the 8" drop? I am in the process of ordering the Andersen WD hitch.

I definitely needed the 8" drop for my Land Cruiser. I'll guess pickups need it too. So far so good on NOT needing the low profile brackets. Perhaps I haven't hit any significant slopes, but so far I've been plenty far from the ground even though the trailer is set on the lowest height setting.

I did learn to clean out any grease that might be on the trailer coupling from a previous hitch. I thought it was clean, but took some paper towels and WD40 to de-grease it better and that helped a lot for the anti-sway. I suppose it was just slipping on the ball.

I needed a 4 inch drop for my trailer it took me a bit to figure that out because all the measurements Anderson required but I just call my dealer and he told me I needed to set my ball height and it was pretty easy to figure it out from there.
