Winnebago service camp 6502

Just received this for our 2015 27N. States Eternabond tape seal to the roof covers. I purchased this MH on 3-25-15 and have had it out 2 weekends, one bad and the other not to bad. The dealer has had it longer than I have and I am sorry for selling my reliable Fleetwood. It has been in for basement water leaks that the dealer could not find but I did. 3 times for winshield air leaks and a misaligned slide and some other small issues I expected. I purchased it because of all the great reviews but am now sorry.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

Did you buy your Fleetwood new also? The thing with buying new is that you get to correct all the problems and that benefits used buyers. It should not be that way and this industry has gotten away with that for far too long.

Once the bugs are worked out, I believe you will have a great MH and will be able to go places I can't in my 34H.

Thanks Mike, I did by the Fleetwood new and it was only to the dealer once in the warranty period. Friends have Winnebago's but I just might have gotten a Friday production.

Don't be too discouraged. I know when problems show up on something we buy brand new, it can lead to buyer's remorse. But stick with it, and you will have that coach be perfect. Most would agree, RV's (or boats) will take a year to work out all the bugs. If your Fleetwood didn't have any, you were very lucky. Also, some dealer service techs are much better at getting problems resolved right away. We have a member of our club who bought a coach last year, and the all ceiling lights and the built-in GPS still don't work.

I just received the notification letter, too. "...dealers will apply Eternabond tape seal to the roof coves on your MH to protect the area from cracked or failed sealants." What are coves??? Are coves referring to the sealant at the FRP roof skin to the top rail extrusion? Anybody aware that there's been a problem? Has anyone had their MH fixed in this manner?

Guess the OP did not get right answers on the Goodsam website so posted exact thing here

Seems he forgot what he posted about Fleetwood years ago I quote

"I also have had nothing but poor cusomer service from F/W. When the toilet would clog I was told that is the way it is designed and good luck."

I am dropping my Vista off in the morning to have a punch list corrected and also have them address this service campaign. I will inquire as to what they are actually going to do and report back. The dealer I am going to use for service (my selling dealer has dismal service but great sales) comes highly recommended by friends.

Just got back from talking with the service department. This recall/service campaign requires them to put eternabond across the seam where the fiberglass front cap meet the roof. They are putting a strip of eternabond all along that seam. Service person advised apparently Winnebago saw something they didn't like in some units along that seam and issued this fix.

I'm doing that without a problem or a recall.

Did they say what size Eternabond they are using? I'm thinking about 6" but will know more when I get out the tape measure.

I eternabond'd all my roof seams 8 years ago! Nary a problem with leaks or fiberglass lifting. That stuff is a permanent fix if you ask me.

Further explanation from my service tech when calling Winnebago for clarification. The recall\service campaign requires them to put Eternabond down the length of the coach on both sides where they have that problematic caulk seal that everyone complains about giving them problems. They ordered mine as it is supposed to color match. When I saw the letter I was hoping that was the case and it was!

I have an appointment to get the eternal bond taping done on ours tomorrow. Took about 10 days to get the tape in. We are Hoping the tape matches and does not standout to much.

I was checking one of the slide toppers this last weekend and realized that the roof skin to extrusion seal had failed in several areas. The coach is only (7) months old!

We had the warranty (EternaBond) tape done this afternoon at CW of Asheville. I have attached a picture so you can see what it looks like. The color is called champagne. The color matches well, I had to climb up to the roof to make sure it was done before leaving😉.
