The Great Unknown Campground Question

So, our favorite campground neighbors are no neighbors at all - just call me Mr. Sociable! We just like a little bit of space and privacy which is hard to find on the road.

Here is my question - how come you can be the only camper in row of say 15 to 20 sites and when someone else comes into your row - they put them right next to you!

Does this happen to you as well? Have you ever gotten a reasonable answer as to why?

When I ran a campground there were several reasons for doing this . Easier to clean up when you leave , safer from an outside theft problem , maybe easier to keep an eye on everyone . If ya asked to change we would accommodate if possible .

Lots of different folks who use their brains (or not?) in different ways!
Some have reasons but others are justkind of doing things in remote control while they listen to their "tunes" and that second group often has almost no idea about RV use.
They may have never been in an RV for themselves and have no idea why you would not want to be a close to the bathroom as possible!

Looking down the list for any opening, so they find the one right next to everybody?
They have a job, why should they have to think about it?

Seems to be a real lack of thought at times.
We found a new restaurant today, so went in to give them a chance but not likely to be back.
They had most of the chairs up on the tables and when we commented on it, they said they were new and don't have much traffic yet, so they leave the chairs up until they need them! Four of sixteen tables in use so that left us seated next to the kitchen where the servers came and went every trip!

There is always BLM https://www.blm.gov/ and as a host of boondocker welcome, you can have your own semiprivate space for no cost.
Each person RV's for a different reason & space.
