Spring trip to Bay of Fundy, Cabot Trail and P.E.I.

This spring looking to head from Boston up along coast of Maine into Bay of Fundy then up to The Cabot Trail then over to PEI. Open ended trip. Looking for any recommendations on places to stay in Canada along the route. Doesn’t need to be fancy just wife and I. Really open to best time to head up and length of stay.
Also any must see stops along the route.

Sussex KOA, Sussex, NB
Kiwanis Oceanfront Camping, Saint Andrews, NB

I have been to NB and PEI twice, both times in July, so I can't comment on conditions in the Springtime.
