Snowbirding Lake Havasu, AZ

I snowbird at Lake Havasu every winter for three or four months. The purpose of this post is to let readers know how beautiful it is there and of the huge variety of activities for any age. Lake Havasu and its corresponding town, Lake Havasu City, is located in the northwestern corner of Arizona. The Colorado River forms the lake and is very navigable for many miles.
Even in the Covid era there is a lot that Havasu offers in terms of easy hiking, fishing, kayaking, touring the lake by your own boat or a rental. There are many RV resorts as well, some fancier than others. I stay at Crazy Horse Campground right on the lake. This spot is on the island just over the London Bridge.
Beautiful sunsets and walks along the half mile beach are available. There are about 600 spaces but they are spread around so it does not feel crowded. No affiliation at all but I recommend this spot to you if you like beach bon fires and easy going people. Las Vegas is 2.5 hours away. Palm Springs is 3 hours away. Parker is 30 minutes from the town.
