RV Trips Stopped for Months!

Normally, we're out for a month or more this time of year. Having a great time in our motorhome.

But we've been unable to take the RV out since mid-march!

I'm not complaining though... this is the reason. First, only granddaughter born last Sunday:

Grand kids are a good reason to do lots of things. First we "swung by" Austin on a trip from Florida to Missouri (check the map for logic?) and then we moved three different times!
All in the name of being close!
We had her 21st birthday party last night!

I'm afraid the fun of playing with the little girl are about over but it's been a fun trip!

Congrats on the new trip and new learning experience. It will be like nothing you've done before!

Wow, congrats.
You’ve heard of rug rats? Now you’ve got your very own rig rat.

Congrats! Enjoy her while you can.

Don't feel badly, it's even worse for people cruising on boats. I know of a dozen (or more) who wound up coming home and selling the boat in a foreign port.

Steve;

Congratulations on the birth of your granddaughter. We had 7 grand kids and when they were old enough to enjoy camping I got permission from their parents to take them camping. I made out a list and went down the list. When we finished the list they said Grandpa can we start over on the list now and we did.

My grandkids are all married now and we have great grandchildren (11). My grandchildren often tell me, they fondly remember the days they went camping with Grandpa & Grandma. We made memories that will last them all their lives. Time well spent.

Don

Thanks all. Granddaughter is doing well and so is her Mom.

We are hoping to be able to get the RV back on the road by October.

PS. Before this gets picked up from other posters…. I’m Paul, not Steve. Just saying.

And I thought you would answer to anything.

I have two granddaughters. Out on the West Coast and on the beach the GD's wanted a sleep over with their friends. Had 7 girls staying in the old 40' MH with 1 bath. Earlene and I stayed at our son's house and DIL stayed in the MH with the girls. Only thing we had to do when it was over with was getting rid of the sand. (I did say it was on the beach)

So Paul, you have a lot to look forward to!

Congrats OP. I totally understand.
Our one and only Granddaughter was born a year ago.
Problem is she's on the West coast and we're in TN.
That's the reason we pick up our new DP this Friday. Planning on seeing her as much as possible. We made it out there for the Birth in our 5ver, but we think it'll be easier in the new Forza. Heading out late December hopefully.

Updating...
The daughter and granddaughter are doing well. Pierce (Granddaughter's name) will be 5-months old this Saturday.

We're still pretty much confined to home due to medical transport and needs of aging In-Laws undergoing Cancer treatments.

So far we had one 4-day trip in March, a 2-day trip in July and we HOPE to get out next week for 7 whole days to Caprock Canyon State Park in the Texas panhandle. But last minute cancellation is always looming so, we don't put too many hopes into making the trip.
