Send a message via Yahoo to rk911
you need to be a lot more specific on route...you're asking what are the points of interest in a third of the country.

We take I35 down through OK and TX (Winstar Casino on OK/TX line a good campground). I-20 and I-10. No mountains easy drive. Easy route to find places to stop for the night.

Where in Arizona? If you're north of Phoenix then just take I40 east. Actually if you're in Phoenix the only bad hills are I17 to Flagstaff. (We actually go north through Payson to avoid I17. still some hills but not so bad).

If you do go through Flagstaff, just east of there is The Crater. Very interesting.

Then we some times over night in Holbrook on I40 or down the road a bit in Gallop.

Anyway, just east of Holbrook is the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. They are all one park.

Once you cross the continental divide at Grants NM you will drive through a lava flow that looks like it was formed yesterday. Impressive.

Albuquerque is our next stop. We generally stay at the American RV Park right off I40. Lots to see in that area including a day trip to Santa Fe.

Then on to Amarillo and the Big Texan Steak House. They actually have their own RV park complete with free limo service to the restaurant. We generally over night there and have a steak dinner.

Then on to OKC. We usually stay at the Twin Fountains RV Park. Lots to do and see there including the Cowboy Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Museum. Not what you might think. It's actually a fantastic art museum.

From there it's I35 north and home for us. Usually at least one stop along the way over night.

I'm sure others will chime in with more.

OK, I assumed you were in Arizona going north. If you're going south, just reverse it. My bad.

Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, New Mexico ... perhaps.

All have some good RV parks and/or points of interest, just depends on what you’re trying to find. Please let us know, we’ll try to help.

A lot will depend on your interests, there are so many things available in the country to see. Some of the above were good but in Abq there is also a casino by the highway (never stayed there) but family members have and sid its pretty good. Or you can go up thru gallup to the north and there is another casino up there and its pretty good. Up around Taos there is a church with a history of miracles for the sick you might want to check out? Santa Fe has some sights but most are typical tourist types, the chapel with the mysterious stair case is interesting but you will need a towed to get to it as the streets are narrow. Up in Angle Fire NM there is the 1st official Vietnam memorial and it has areas to camp around it. Also the NRA has its camp along the same highway over by I25 And I think they may have a camp site?

Off I 40 by amarillo there is Palo Duro canyon. Its supposed to be like a minature (?) Grand canyon and I think it has summer activities? South by Lawton Ok there is a wildlife refuge with bison and long horn cattle heards. Also has a religious reproduction of the hoily city if interested.
So its hard to tell ya where to stay and see things. Just sit down at the computer use a trip planning site and look at what pops up that may interest you. Good sam has such and there are several more.
