Restoration of Decals

When we saw that the exterior decals on our 1986 Winnebago Chieftain were faded and we could no longer locate replacements...we had to figure out the least expensive and simple way to restore them. After a lot of prayer and thinking about it, we went to Home Depot and decided on using their Marquis Brand Exterior Paint! It is made for outside doors and shutters, primer is included, great RV/fade protection...it sounded excellent! I used the blue 3m tape to mask off the decals and a small camel hair brush to hand paint the decals. The paint blended all the brush strokes and initial drying within one hour. I must say that it looks close to original...
