Winnebago electrolysis/frame rust problem

Posted 09-27-2021 at 10:31 AM by TMAR

When servicing the batteries on my 2020 14 month old Spirit 31K with 3,000 miles I was shocked to see the amount of rust on my frame and even the propane tank.
The grounding bar seems to be ground zero and I am not alone after doing some web searches.
Winnebago states rust is not a covered item, but a defective electrical system would be - I think they have a serious issue that has not been resolved and I'm as mad as a hornet. It will take probably a few grand of sand blasting/priming...

50 amp parallel converter to a 30 amp service

Posted 09-12-2021 at 09:06 PM by jrb77

I recently purchased a new 30 amp Winnebago Micro Minnie. I upgraded to a 15k BTU A/C from the standard 13.5k BTU and am wishing I hadn't, but this is where we are (my wife doesn't do well without A/C). I am 68 years old and do not want to lug around a 100 pound generator when we are without shore power, so I opted to buy 2 smaller generators and run them in parallel. After talking with several representatives at WEN, I opted to follow their advice and I purchased two 56235i inverter generators...
