Forza Design Failure #3: Convection/Microwave Exhaust Vent

Posted 09-14-2020 at 10:16 AM by 1GRN1

Our 2017 Forza 38W is equipped with a convection/microwave w/range hood and exhaust vent. Unfortunately that exhaust vent exhausts hot air from the convection oven INSIDE the coach. In summer it's then impossible for our air conditioner to maintain a comfortable temperature. This makes the convection oven largely unusable. A costly modification which requires the convection/ microwave to be removed and exhaust fans reoriented to blow out instead of in, a rectangular hole to be cut into the wall, a black plastic resin exhaust vent procured and painted to match and installed and the convection/ microwave reinstalled. At last our living area is habitable during convection oven use!

What were the Winnebago (WGO) Designers thinking? They obviously weren't. I'll bet they never get an opportunity to stay for a week in their motorhomes to evaluate the livability of their designs.
