it was faced with foil on one side and clear or plain. I put the foil on the outside and used zip ties (2) on each panel to hold in place. Then used spray foam on any spaces and around all edges...

insulation

I insulated my compartment with 1" foam board and held in place with large zip ties and plastic washer I made. Them drilled holes in compartment and used spray foam insulation to seal edges and help...
