Correct...I have HWH slides and jacks....I always have the engine running when deploying the jacks and extending and retracting the slides...If you don't, low voltage will eventually kill that...

Are you sure that your engine (chassis) battery(s) are charging when on shore power... Some do not mine included...Put a voltmeter on them while plugged in...Phantom loads will discharge them over...

Hold the switch down for a minute or so before trying to start the engine - That gives some time for the chassis battery to take more of a charge from the house batteries.

On most rigs the house batteries not the chassis batteries start the generator.....Start your engine so the alternator charges the house batteries and then try starting the genny with the engine...

I still think a good starting point would be checking the input and output of the converter...Plug into shore power and see what your readings are at the converter...Then unplug and start the genny...
