Photobucket is scammy

Hello all.
I just joined this fine and much needed forum and want to comment about photobucket.
I have extensive background as a computer repairman and found that I needed to establish a sign in with "photobucket" to see certain photo enlargements from our forum.
The Photobucket sign on procedure is loaded with scammy pop-ups, indicating a poorly run website, either intentional or not.
To make it worse, I input all my, somewhat private, information on the form, only to be notified that my "username" was already taken. At that, I am returned to the form again, which is completely blank. All previous work was deleted.
With that, I gave up.

Sorry you had trouble. There should have been no need to sign into Photobucket to view images. If you are still having this trouble can you point to a post where you are seeing this behavior?

You can attach images directly to posts here by clicking "go advanced under the reply editor and then clicking on the paperclip icon on the post editor. There is no need to use a third party host.

We also have individual photo albums available. You can access those from with your profile or by clicking on the Gallery Tab at the top of the page.

Photobucket used to allow people to store their images in a free account and then embed them in Forum Posts all over the internet.

New policies there have changed that and images in Free Accounts have been hidden by Photobucket leaving many previously visible images in posts changed to either a notice or a red X.

These changes have nothing to do with this or any other website. It's just a change of policy by Photobucket.

Yes. I am glad to see that you store your own images on your own servers.
The "photobucket" image is on the "Battery Solenoid?" post, where "Clay L" posted an image of the wiring.
It is still linking to photobucket.
