We purchased a 2015 vista 36y and are very happy with it. After storage for a couple of months when we went to use it found that we did a poor job of closing the curtains and covering the dashboard and we notice some minor yellowing. The dashboard is tan. Any recommendations?
I've seen where some RV owners have had good luck with hydrogen peroxide and UV light. I haven't tried it personally but here are some links. It might be difficult to do it evenly on something like a dashboard.
I have also seen the yellow on the tan dashboard on my Winnie. I left a Windex bottle on the dashboard overnight, and the ring it left is really ugly! bright yellow. What is with that dash material, anyway? I have never seen vinyl act like that. Must be super cheap stuff.
I tried everything, and no cleaner would remove the ring, so I ended up with vinyl spray paint, matching the color well, and so far so good -- 3 years.
The "dash" on my 2002 Suncruiser is in two parts. The part of the dash that surrounds the instruments, etc. is hard plastic but the horizontal part that abuts the windshield is covered with sheet vinyl. Your motorhome is quite a bit newer so it could be completely different.
I assumed in my previous response that you were talking about the hard plastic part since the vinyl part can be replaced with new vinyl.
