I just posted the first time in New Members and wanted to say hi here too. This looks like a great forum and I will be reading everything with fervor. As soon as we can sell our casita (patio home) in AZ, we will be shopping for a Winnebago. Have friends with a Vectra and they could say nothing bad about the coach. I am looking forward to the research and have started this process already. Also, Can you give me some Karma? So Hey again.

Hello one and all. Glad to have found this resource because on 3/26/08 I hope to be picking up a new-to-me 1997 Adventurer 37rw.
If the PDI goes well, I'll be putting my TT days behind me and starting my Class A experience.
Question; would this be the forum for specific questions regarding this motorhome? Rest assured, there will be many having never owned one before.

Lt46;

Welcome to the forum and the Winnebago Industries Owner's Forum. We are really happy you found us. Yes this is the right forum to ask questions about your soon to be 97 Adventure. We have a wealth of experienced members here who are most happy to answer questions and help new members. Just ask away. For what it is worth to you my previous MH was a 97 Adventure 37'. It was a great unit and Bev & I had many great travel experiences in it.

Post often and keep us up to date on your learning experiences. When you take title to your Adventure be sure to ask for Winnebago Karma.

Thanks Don for the welcome. Should all go well with the PDI, my introduction to Class A style RVing will commence with the cruise home. Naples FL to Cape Cod MA. I no doubt will have numerous questions for the members upon arriving home.
I do have one question already though...what is motoraid? Am I correct in assuming it's some sort of automotive heater type setup in the back of the moho? Engine heat rather than propane???
Thanks, Peter

Peter;

Motoraid is a routing of engine coolant through a heat exchanger on the water heater and then it travels to an auxiliary heater for the coach. I believe my heater was located under the bed in back. I really appreciate the hot water heater part as the water heater does not have to be turned on until you park the rig. You start out with a tank of hot water. It saves on the propane. Good luck;

Don

Thanks for the invitation to join. We have owned only Winnebagos since buying our first one - a 21' Brave - in 1975. We are now on our 7th coach, and like it best of all!
We began full-timing, in a sense, in 2004. But I still have a lot to learn and appreciate the information and experiences shared on this site.

My Wife and I own an '05 Adventurer, model 35A. Prior to that we owned a Holiday Rambler 28', that we traveled in 48 states.

We prefer State and National Parks to commercial camp grounds, Walmart and rest areas have been a big part of our travel.

I thought that I posted this once, but I couldn't find it.

I and my wife Gayle have an '05 Adventurer 35A. Before that we had a 28 ft Holiday Rambler that we used for 14 summers, 48 states, and about 85K miles.

It looks like I will be able to find many good tips on this sight.
