Winterize

Just purchased a 2016 Navion, sheet States it has “heated drainage system”
Do I still need to winterize if traveling to cold climate?
How much protection does it provide? Thanks.

to which "it" are you referring...the heated drainage system or winterizing?

it sounds like the navion has heated waste tanks but does it have a heated fresh tank? a full fresh tank will take longer to freeze than a partially full tank. the less full the faster it will freeze in a hard freeze...temps well below freezing for several hours. a soft freeze...temps at or just below freezing for an hour or so...shouldn't be a problem for the fresh tank. the weak link in many motorhomes is the water pump and the water lines that are either exposed to the elements or in areas close to the exterior skin. some folks will place a work light with a 60-watt incandescent bulb in the wet bay or near the water pump for extra protection in a soft freeze. RV anti-freeze if used correctly can protect your fresh system in a hard freeze.
