Winnebago or Itasca?

Do I have a Winnebago or an Itasca? Its a 2000 on a ford Chassis. It says Itasca all over it and only says Winnebago on two places?

It's an Itasca built by Winnebago. It was first introduced in 1975.

Winnies and Itascas are built on the same assembly line. The line might have a couple of Winnies then a Itasca or two then another Winnie, etc. Parts come on the "as needed" pallet so something might have been put on the wrong pallet.

If you are ever in IA, a tour of the Winnie plant should be on your bucket list. We toured in '02 and at that time, they put out 265 gas units a week, all of them going down the one and only assembly line

Yours is an Itasca made by Winnebago. Because it's an Itasca that name will be all over it and Winnebago puts it's name in one or two places. At least one place is usually by the door so you know it's made by Winnebago. Itasca line is identical to the Winnebago line. Just some of us, like us, like the Itasca name not Winnebago so they make both and visa versa.

Also, Itasca gets in the chow line before Winnebago when lining up alphabetically!

you have an Itasca Suncruiser made by Winnebago. The Suncruiser is a twin to the Winnebago Adventurer. in fact, it looks like a Suncruiser 35U which is what we just traded in for a new Suncruiser 38Q. your body style looks to be from 1999-2003 or thereabouts.

there used to be more of a difference between the Winnebago and Itasca models (think Ford vs. Lincoln) but these days the differences are in paint colors and interior finishes.

I have a preference for Itasca because that's what my grandparents had when I was growing up.

Don't have one yet, but eyeing a 34T.
