Winnebago class A gas A/C

We are on a mission to find a new class A gas Winnebago that has a quiet a/c. Please, if you own any class A...no matter the model or year...please give us a review of your a/c. Thanks!

abbie, my son just purchased a 2016 Vista LX 35F and his roof AC units are much quieter than ours on our Adventurer. The Coleman Mach 8 is the noisy one.

Our 03 Sunova has a rooftop 15,000 btu Coleman that is fairly quiet. I believe the main reason is that it is ducted. It doesn't have that loud discharge at one single point.

We can hear sort of a hum and some air flow, which for us, seems to help us sleep better.

Scooter...we are concerned about the rooftop a/c that cools the coach.

GRTHarris...what year is your Adventurer? Is your son happy with his Vista LX?

A fully ducted A/C system will be a lot quieter then an RV that has the A/C unit sticking down in the center of the coach.

We have the coach that is in our signature. We do not find the air-conditioners objectionable at all. Since they're both fully ducted if you're in the bedroom at night you can run the forward AC and you'll have cooling in the bedroom, and vice versa.

Cover Dog, We run the rear AC when possible when we are watching TV. I have tried the replacement condenser fan blades and have insulated the inside of the outside cover still not were we would like it. Our last two coaches had basement air so it was a big change for us.

Could not agree more! While our Forza is ducted and tried above mods, I don't think Diesel or Gas is any criteria, it's Winnebago. Ours has the Coleman Mach 8 units as most Winnes do, so noisy it's unacceptable. Further, both are only 13.5k, The front unit must cool 60% of the coach and therefore must run 90% of the time as it is undersized, like forever, it hardly shuts off.

If you buy new opt for a 15k unit up front, we're stuck you don't need to be.

Winnebago Vista 27N AC

2015 Winnebago Vista 27N RV, renamed as the Vista 27N LX in 2016 and 2017. The rooftop AC is ducted and roof mounted in the front area of the coach. Noisy when running in the front of the coach even with the hi-low fan switch on low and all the ChillGrille high cooling flow slots shut. Noise is not bad in the bedroom with the sliding door shut, in particular with the fan hi-low switch on low.

Coleman 14,800 BTU air conditioner / heat pump - w/ChillGrille. Don't know the exact model #.

You did not ask, but the propane furnace on this unit is QUIET ! It is mounted under the living room floor and ducted.
