We took delivery today!

Hi Everyone!

We took delivery of our 06 Winnebago Sightseer 29R today. OMG! I loved driving it! Now is to figure out a few things that after skimming the owners manual we think are missing. I hope a call to Winnebago will help with a few of the missing items. I think the passenger arm rest/cupholder was taken out cuz there is nothing there at all.

Anyway, I have all the bedding already in and the bed made up along with the bathroom towels. Not too excited

Tomorrow off to the store for some stuff LOL, the dishes go into the kitchen the cabinets get set up cuz I want to get on the road.

Just so thrilled.

When we first got into RVing we too went and bought a bunch of new "stuff" for the RV. Then, 2 years later when we upgraded, we looked at all that stuff and thought "Why are we toting all that stuff around??" Our rule of thumb: if we haven't used it in 1 year, we take it out! Paper plates and plastic cups nowadays!!
But I know, buying for the new RV is half the fun!! Enjoy!!

Rknola, know what you mean. We have saved just about everything from our first RV. Stuff to buy are really things to have in vase if emergency. There are just some things that don't last the rest of time. Been out of the RV 7 years so they are must haves. Ya know lime toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner... stuff I just don't want to lug back and forth every time we hit the road. So we have pits and pans, dishes, flatware, tea pot... really lots of everyday stuff and food and of course the dogs gear. I think they have more then us.

Congratulations! As with all new things, new discoveries await you. At least you have a great place to come when the discoveries aren't what you wanted.

Many happy trails.

After taking delivery we went in our first trip. All went well but I felt there was an issue with the jacks.

There was another shake down item so back she went for service.

We got her back yesterday and I'm not too sure I really understand these jacks.

When we level the engine is on, parking break set. Turn in the auto leveler and it does its thing. The drivers rear jack does not deploy like the other 3 so I push auto level again and that's when it does its thing.

So once level all lights on the jack system are red. All times before deploying the drivers rear jack is red.

How do I learn more about the jack system. There is not much in the paperwork.

Thanks
Shaz

well lets start with who made it

Does you panel say HWH Equalizer?

I would also give Winnebago Support a call, I bet they would be helpful even if you are a second or third owner.

Further, it sounds like you are saying "the rear drivers jack remains in the closed, non-deployed position, and does not deploy at all, until your 2nd or 3rd attempt to auto level." Is this correct?

It deploys but not fully like the other 3. Last night we were playing with them and the jack met the wood after the second push of the auto button.

If DH sees this I'm sure he will post the info needed but if not I will later when I get back.

The actual brand of your jacks would help in answering your questions. Here is a link to the Power Gear jacks. Does your control panel look like the one pictured.
