Water RV or City

Owners of a 2019 Minnie Plus 26RBSS. Recently we were dry camping. Had filled with water. Our choices are RV or City. Left it on RV as we weren’t connected to a water supply. Pump started making a terrible loud noise! Contacted the dealer and after hours of troubleshooting found out you leave the water knob on city except when you are filling! The manual isn’t even close to what We have so it was no help. Had campers before and never did this. Anyone else have this problem?

all three of our motorhomes since 1986 had the same valves. our current MH is labeled FILL and NORMAL. the labeling on yours could have been better. think of CITY as NORMAL and RV as FILL. use label tape if that will help. btw, the pump was making noise likely because the fresh water tank was empty. we always travel with 3/4-full fresh tank cuz ya judt never know what's ahead.

Thanks for the recommendations! We had just filled up so the tank wasn’t empty. The pump stopped being noisy once we changed the setting to city.

good. you should be able to test your water pump to be sure it wasn't damaged by turning off the water at the bib and turning on the pump. you may hear the pimp activate for a few seconds as it pressurizes the lines.
