Trik-L-Start, where to buy?

I have decided to install a trik-l-start unit for my 07 Adventurer 38T. Winnebago decided to Completely isolate the Chassis battery from the coach batteries and charging system. Its no secret that if you are plugged in to shore power, the chassis battery will be completely drained in a matter of weeks! Winnebago is well aware of this problem and in 06 and newer diesel coaches and 2009 and newer gas coaches, the trik-l- charge is installed as factory equipment. So where do you buy it? I live in Vancouver BC and keep the MOHO near Bellingham full time. Camping world has never heard of the maintainer? I tried several battery places and electronic repair shops and nobody carries it. Do I really have to order on line? I hate doing that. please let me know of anybody that may carry in the PNW

The Winnebago part umber for the Trik-L-Start is 703000-01-000. Should be able to get it from any Winnebago dealer.

A much better alternative is the SurePower unit...
Sure Power 1315-200 Battery Separator

easy to install and never worry about chassis battery going dead ever again.

Just FYI... I have an 2013 Itasca Sunstar 26HE and I had to install my own Trik-L Start (actually, I installed an Amp-L Start which is the big brother to Trik-L Start). I ordered my online. Do a google search.

Good luck!

I've seen them at RV rallies like the GNR last year. If you go online and get the phone number from one of these websites that sells them you may be able to order one over the phone like in the olden days. We buy almost everything online but when we see an RV supply store we usually stop. It is more fun seeing the stuff in person but of course you only get a tiny fraction of a selection of goods that way.

The place I got mine does have a phone number:
LSL Products
5804 Babcock Rd. #512
San Antonio, TX (God Bless Her!) 78240
TOLL-FREE: 877-257-4655

LSL Products / LSLProducts.com - Problem-Solving Gear & Gadgets

Ultra TRIK-L-START Starting Battery Charger/Maintainer

$44.95 +$5.95 shipping without battery clips (OEM Version)
$48.95 +$5.95 shipping with battery clips

Good luck!

thanks for all the replies, I found their website and know I can order on line, but I am old school and was hoping to find a PNW retailer that might carry the trik-l-start for an over the counter sale.
Is it a bad idea to just hotwire all the batteries together with an extra cable just while we are parked and plugged in for the next 6 months?

I'd try looking for RV parts stores near you and call to see if they carry it. I have seen it at RV stores other than Camping World. Also you can probably get it at any Winnebago parts store or dealer. It has a Winnebago part #.

Winnebago/Itasca Part No. 156431-01-000
Coach House Part No. ELC000231
Monaco Coach Part No. 262136
(NOTE: Item is identical for all brands)
This info is from the lslproducts web page.

If the dealer doesn't have it in stock they could probably order it.

If you wire the battery banks together make sure that you use heavy gauge wire ... as heavy as jumper cables.

You only need to connect one side of the batteries ... the other side is already connected to ground

If you were to use a light gauge wire and forgot to disconnect before starting (because of the high current draw) you will most likely melt the wire. That would not be a good thing.

Hey this is Jeff with 2018 24 d Navion. I have lithium batteries and you will need to order the Amp- L which will be more expensive.
I have a dc to dc charger to control charge from the alternator and protect the lithium batteries. If you have the dc to dc controller you will need a relay kit.
Total charge with shipping was $95.45. Jeff ..The Nav

We are sure to take our Winnebago motorhome for a drive at least once a month to recharge the chassis battery and operate everything. It's not good for the tires and other parts to just sit unused for 6 months at a time.
