I have a small surface scratch on a valence panel in our Sightseer. According to the Winnebago documentation, the valence is

Sandstone - 4949U

I assume that is a DuPont paint.

Does anyone know where I can get a small quantity (an ounce?) of this color I could use to touch-up the scratch? Bare metal is not showing - but primer is.

I found a local paint store thru my dealer that
sells automotive paints. Any body shop or your dealer would be able to tell you which places sell them. It is Dupont.

Yuppers, I had page 14 of the Winnebago Paint Code printed out and sitting in front of me! DuPont refered me to a local "jobber" that handles their paint - but I really did not want to purchase a Gallon to touch-up a 2" scratch! Well, I called the local DuPont Jobber anyway and after a lot of searching they found the paint code. They can mix it up for me... my cost is $20 for 8oz. That is about 100 times the cost of Gasoline!!!

So, I spoke to Winnebago Service and they initially referred me to a DuPont jobber. I mentioned the $20/8oz and the service person suggested I check Wallmart or an Auto Store for a touchup paint with the same DuPont paint code on it. So that is where I'm off to now!

Wish me luck!!

Call Lichtsinn Motors they are in Forest City, Ia they can get small bottles of a color, like finger nail polish and applicator from Winnie.
Just give them your coach serial number and they will do the rest. About 11+ including shipping...Good Luck

www.paintscratch.com has some Winne/Itasca colors already. Just drop them a line, they get back within two hours for where the listing is located on their website. (Drop my name if you want) very good pricing and great service.

Best,
