We just got a call from our dealer that our new Vectra is here. They are now going over it and cleaning all the road dirt and salt off the under belly. Our salesman said it is just beautiful. The dealership is about 2 hrs. from us and DH has meetings to attend thru thursday, so we are going up Fri. AM at 8:00 to pick her up. DH drives the coach with hand controls and the place that has equiped all of our coaches is near the dealership so they will drive it over for us to have them installed. I don't know if I can wait that long to see it. I told DH I may drive up just to see it before then. It's been a long wait, but worth it .

Great to hear that the coach is in. It is always a good day when you get to drive it off of the lot.

Wishing you safe travels.

Becks,
Thanks, we have been checking on the weather in Iowa ever since we knew the coach was ready to go. I'm just glad I didn't know when it actually left or I would have been a nervous wreck worrying about it.

Glenda,

As I recall, your previous coach was a 40AD like ours. What made you decide on the 40FD floorplan?

The FD is the update of the AD with one more slide in the bedroom. We liked the plan of the AD so much we wanted much the same. We didn't like the TD for a lot of reasons, and we never liked the TV over the dash in the KD. So the FD was the choice.

Glenda,

I can't help but ask, why did you decide to upgrade so soon?

Our 04 was a really nice coach. The new owners love it and have become friends and new members of our local WIT chapter. We just decided that upgrading now, before my husband retires, was a good idea. This is really the longest time we have kept a coach, having traded up every 2 yrs. in the past. We liked the new chassy design and wanted to take advantage of the deal the dealer put together. I think we are one of their favorite customers. Hey, you can't take it with you, so why not enjoy it doing something that makes you happy. As our kids say, "we are spending their inheritance"

Well it is finally here and sitting in our back yard. We picked it up on last Friday and we are as pleased as we can be! It is everything we wanted and then some. Having ordered it sight unseen, except for pictures and color swatches, it is a real beauty. The blackberry full body paint makes an awesome looking coach. We got home from the dealers on Fri. evening and at 9:00 Sat. morning our fellow WIT club members showed up to help us load her up. It is now pretty much ready for our first trip to FL in a couple of weeks. However, first she is going back to the dealers to have the Teflon coating applied to the outside and inside. They will need it for about a day to complete. It will keep it from fading and it eliminates the need to be waxed....ever. Our son was happy to hear that! We have tested all the systems and have a very minor punch list for them to address. The maxum chassy sure makes for a lot of storage in the basement, and the interior of the coach is about 10" taller than our 04. One of our friends is around 6'4" and he could walk under the ceiling fan without getting wacked in the head. I love the fireplace too. Hope it is just a little cool in FL so we can enjoy it. I will post some pics soon when we pull it out the next time. It is hard to get a good shot in the back yard.

This is a claim that is made by the manufacturer of the process. The dealer has been offering it for a few years esp. to the full body paint coaches. It is a $$$$ process, and is a one time application. The only area they do not do is the center of the roof due to the slippery surface it creates. That is the only area that will need occasional waxing.

Yes, I will take some when we pull it out from the backyard this weekend. It is hard to get a good picture where it is parked now. I hope I remember how to do it. Did you get the PM I sent you?
