We purchased our motorhome new and found getting warranty work done was like pulling teeth. Finally gave up and took it to an other dealer and just paid for the repairs my self. As far as I am concerned Winnebago has no warranty. And yes I would never buy an other Winnebago. It took three years to get every thing working properly and what I couldn't do my self I just paid some one to fix it.

My understanding with Forest River motor homes is that there are so many
issues, they need to stand by them. The lower end allows first time buyers
to get into the market.
I think the issue with Winnebago is the dealer, not the manufacturer. All new
motor homes will need some items to be fixed. But I still say, no matter who
owns the company, Warren Buffet, or not, the older ones are better made. They
are trying to make them lighter; and, for example, are using molded plastic on the cabinetry instead of wood.

It's not limited to MH's any FR product that needs repairs is taken care of. I saw a TT that had hit a retaining wall and crushed the rear side. The owner wanted to pay the repair bill for the lower side panel, but FR said no thanks, are you satisfied with the repairs? 10 year old awnings, and captain chairs that were 6 years old were replaced no charge. Many more free repairs, just ask anyone who has attended the Int'l Rally.
The problem I had with our Winnebago MH could not have been found by the dealer. How would they have known that the fridge was not secured to the wall and would fall into and crush the microwave when we made a turn. But, I don't have anything good to say about our dealers service dept. for that repair and there only 1 mile from the factory. My bad for not checking their repairs, Coach has been repair free since.

I kind of hope the OP does not get another RV. He strikes me as somebody who will have a massive list of faults with anything he buys. That is after he gets the best deal in town...

They are now limiting repairs to 3. But the age does not matter. From the rally several years ago Forest River did over 1 million in free repairs. They have over 300 techs from their different divisions doing the work throughout the week. Sun up til sundown.
Warren Buffet certainly knows how to buy GREAT P.R.

Based on those numbers, FR techs did over 3000 repairs each. In what period of time?

Sunday-Saturday...300 techs / 800 units x 3 repairs maximum to each unit=2400 repairs divided by 300 techs=8 repairs for each tech for the week.
Don't know where 3000 repairs for each tech came from.
We had attended the rally in 2014 & 2015 with our 2015 FR Wildcat 5th wheel. It is truly amazing to see the organization that goes into this event. 5 sit down catered dinners and 6 catered breakfasts for over 1600 people at each serving. The presidents dinner in 2015 had 1800 8oz. filet minions cooked to order along with everything else for the dinner.
We jumped ship in 2016 with the purchase of our WBO, but I really miss that get together and have made many friends from those gatherings.

1000000 free repairs divided by 300 techs equals 3333 repairs.

I think the one million represents dollars not number of repairs. He explained it to you in a previous post.

That's QUITE impressive and good of the company, anybody would HAVE to admit. I sure can appreciate it. If they DON'T care about their customers, that's a hell of a way of showing it.

Makes sense now although nothing's free. Customer money still pays for it.
