Sleep Number Bed, one side leaks down

I found a few other threads on one side leaking down but no solutions. Has anyone found a solution? On mine the chamber furthest away from the pump may leak down several times in one night or it might stay for 2-3 days. Sleep Number Help desk was of NO assistance. It is getting close to being TOSSED!

I read that a hose at the pump is quite often the culprit. Mine is leaking as well. I have an appointment with the factory to fix several warranty issues soon and hope they are succesful.

We have a Sleep Number mattress that was doing pretty much what you describe. Turned out to be the hose end on the problem side. It was cracked and sometimes would seal tight and others would leak. Cut the hose end and refastened to the connector-that was two years ago with no issue.

We also had the wired controller that went bad. Sometimes, it would deflate one side. We had to replace the controller with a wireless one (about half of the cost covered by warranty). So far all is working great.

Bet it is the hose or hose coupling. We had a leak and found the connection from hose to mattress was not seating properly. Added a little dialectic grease, pushed until it clicked and seated. No more problems. Hope this is your cure!

Leaking chamber

My one side was leaking, turned the mattress over and found a screw from the mount for the shock that lifts the bed was just barely through the wood platform and had rubbed a hole in the chamber. Bought a bicycle patch kit to repair the hole. All has been fine ever since. We like the sleep number bed so much in the coach, that we bought one for our king size bed at home

Easy solution is to make sure that you have the side that is not leaking.

If you don't have an owners manual, which shows how to test, do this:

Reverse where the tubes enter the bed. In other words, put the tubes from the right side, on the left side and visa versa. If the same side goes soft it is the bed chamber.

If the opposite side goes soft, it is in the tubes or pump unit.

The above was in our manual and also what sleep number wanted us to do before warranty. If you are the original purchaser, don't worry about the purchase receipt, Sleep Number has you in their data base, if you registered.

In our case, it was the air chamber which Sleep Number promptly replaced for us.
We found their customer service very good, sorry you had problems.

Sleep Number bed leak FOUND ! !

Like some of you suggested. The coupler on the end of the hose that mated to the air chamber was cracked. I cut it off, put a new piece of hose on it, a good hose clamp, then tightened it and then wrapped duct tape around the hose clamp. I didn't want any edges of the hose clamp to cut through anything. Thanks for you ideas!

Wow! You went 4 months with that situation!

I'm like Ken, I would have just swapped sides with DW.

I have had this happen at different years to each side. I called Select Comfort and they charged me a prorated amount based upon the age of the bed. They shipped the new chamber and I plugged it in and everything has held up fine since then.
