I have a 2005 Itasca Sunrise 38 J. I would like to install driver and passenger sidevisors. Does anyone have a recommendation on what I should purchase?

Thanks

I assume you are talking about a roller shade-type of visor (black with see-thru holes). Call Lichtsinn Motors 800-343-6255, & ask for a standard installation item for your rig/model/serial nr.

BTW, I thought they were a standard item. If they were not installed, you might call your selling dealer.

Thanks Thudman. I did call Lichtsinn and they told me that Winnebago stopped installing them on new motor homes after 2003. He can get me one and I will see if it will work.

That makes sense. I had them as standard equipment on my Suncruiser, but it was a 2003. I can't see why they'd stop installing them. They are pretty close to being mandatory as far as I'm concerned. The ones that came on it were decent. The mesh provided good sun control. It would be nice if they were power operated though because the window shade spring mechanism can get away from you when you are driving with one hand and working the shade with the other. I believe that Carefree of Colorado makes power side visors.

It is possible that they dropped them on certain models, but we have them on our '05 Adventurer and they were not listed as an option.

The front on ours does have the power screens, but they were an option.

I just went to Home Depot and looked in the shade deptartment and found sunscreen shades and had them cut one down to the size that would fit on the windows. they were roughly $40 each but what a difference in the heat coming through the driver and passenger side winodws. Easy install also.

I have the factory pull downs but have had problems with the passenger side. It would get hard to roll down and one side would get frayed. Winne has replaced it twice under warranty. Now I'm out of warranty and interested in a replacement when the next one goes.

I pulled mine down past the first(little)window and velcroed them to the cross member. I have sun screen on that window all the time and they never go all the way up. I used to hate the old fashioned window shades and I solved the problem in the MOHO with velcroe. Safe Miles
