Should I purchase the Trident Protection Series Package

Hello to all, Merry Christmas. We just purchased a Winnebago 27RBDS travel trailer. My question is should I purchase the Trident Protection Series Package from the dealer. Cost is $1,200 for the interior, exterior and awning protection. Does anyone have experience with this. Thanks, Jim and Dee Forney Ford F150 SCREW, 6.2L, 3.73 axle.

:welcome:I'm not too familiar with extended warranties for travel trailers, but I'm sure someone will be along with an answer for you!

Hugh profit center for dealers. Costs them maybe 300 dollars including labor to apply.
Basically a waste of your money.

I'll guess dealer profit on their $1200 "Protection Series Package" is ~$1190.

If you really need this protection tell the dealer you won't do the agreed upon deal unless they throw in this protection for FREE. And stick to that statement.

Go and buy yourself some good quality paste wax and a buffer and do it yourself. Better yet buy yourself a good quality wax and pay someone else to do and save $1000

If it's full body painted I would not wax.

Here's a photo of my motorhome. Never waxed. Only wash with water and occasionally a little liquid car wash.

Do you ever wax your cars?
This is a crazy suggestion. I have a hard time fathoming people spending thousands upon thousands of dollars on a RV and not want to maintain it is as pristine condition as possible. Yea, I have seen lots of junkers on the road and wonder when the last time they took any pride in their stuff.

No, I do not wax my cars. I just keep them washed. I do not wax anything that is clearcoated. Since I retired 12 years ago I've managed to stay off salted highways. This may be a plus for automotive finishes.

I'll put my shine up against anyone's.
