RV Covers - Need feedback

Since I cannot find covered storage for my 40 foot motor home, I am considering using a cover. I would appreciate feedback on the following:

1. Do they hold up in heavy winds?

2. Can something be done to prevent rubbing the paint? Foam cushions on the corners?

3 Any recommendations on the fabric? Manufacturer?

4. How best to hold them on? Tie-downs, weights?

5. Does any manufacturer make a custom fit cover for Winnebagos?

Surely someone has put a cover on a 40 foot Winnebago and has some feedback?

Well LK23, I guess that not too many people cover their MH. There are are bunch of reasons why not.
1. It is a PITA to put on and take off.
2. There is an awful lot of abrasion from the cover.
3. I think it causes a lot of mold etc.
4. I have never ever covered my TTs or MHs and they always looked great.
All the aforementioned is IMHO

I did use a cover on the MH the first 2 years then quit. What a pain to put it on. Wind did bother it, got some rips. After that I just left it as is. I am currently on the 3rd MH and there has not been anydamage to any of them.

Well I guess I wasted my money on mine as I used it twice and there it sits in the shed on a shelf.It was a good cat scratching post for a while though.While it was on the rig of course!

I had built an A frame with a big blue tarp for my previous MH Class C here in Alaska. For a few years I didn't use a cover. Well everyone above is right. It was a real pain to put on and off. And even a bigger pain to get the snow off of it. I had to climb up and underneath the tarp and occasionally push the snow off. It had a rubber roof, but to tell you the truth, there was no difference between on or off. 'Course it gets to -50 below up here, so there's no moisture.
This year we bought our Winnebago Brave and I'm not covering it up. I think I'll just sweep the snow off of the fiberglass roof. Oh boy, I can hardly wait.....I hope.

AKBrick, (and others getting on top of a snowy fiberglass roof), just a word of extreme caution please. If you think your roof is sorta slick from the summer morning dew, or just after your wax job, you can't believe how slick it gets with snow on top. Be careful, stay on your knees.
(frankly, I'd leave the snow on the roof unless it got to be more than a foot...)

Thanks to all who replied. Since I cannot find covered storage and the RV covers seem to be a pain, my next best idea would be to find a good wax with UV protectant for the paint. I hate to leave my new Horizon in the sun but it appears I have no good option.
