Congrats on your retirement! Great cake.
We didn't go full time until a couple of years after retiring, but I had a friend who timed it so on his last day at work he picked up his last paycheck and walked out to his motor home in the parking lot and just headed east. He didn't know where he was going... he was just going. Lot's of folks envied him at that point.
Best of luck and safe travels.

That's an amazing cake! Does it resemble your motorhome? Congrats on your retirement! \ken

Ricko: yes, that was my original plan but timing was off; we did take the MH to the party, however, gave a lot of tours!
bumps: yes, its our rig. My coworker who was helping with the party wanted details on color, design etc....I thought she was creating some picture for decorations. Turned out she gave the picture I sent to the bakery so they could create the cake, rug and all! It was very impressive

parsoc: That's what I want for my retirement party ... a way fun cake that looks like my MH!
RickO: I'm gonna steal your friend's strategy -- I'll drive it to the office and at the end of my last day just start driving!

Now DONE!!! Congratulations!!! Welcome to my world. That cake was fantastic. Looks like your coworkers know your future. If you are like most of us you will not understand how you had time to work. After "retiring" it seems that the days are not long enough to get done what we want to do.
Many happy trails to you.

Congratulations on your retirement! I'm headed there myself as of December 31 and am totally impressed by your cake. Clearly your co-workers ( or should they now be called Former co-workers!!) held you in high regard. Good for you and Safe Travels!!

For your Dog, Make it a Chihuahua. Find a puppy and a bag to carry it in. Take it every where and introduce it to every one. They tend to be overly protective if they are not introduced to the public early. Learn the word "AAHT" Watch the dog whisperer. He uses a clicking sound. You won't be sorry and when it jumps on your lap you won't feel crushed.

We're more of Scottie/Westie persuasion but point on socialization is well taken...Am a big fan of Caesar also!
So far retirement feels just fine! Had lunch with coworkers today and miss them terribly....but glad I'm not there!
Hoper to see you all on the road at some point!
