New Winnebago Owners

We jus traded in our Excel fifth wheel for a 2014 Winnebago Aspect 27K. We fulltimed in the Excel, but now that we are no longer fulltimers, we decided to downsize.

We haven't taken possession of the new rig yet...the dealer is prepping it and then we'll do a walk through. Not looking forward to unloading the fifth wheel and trying to find a place for everything in the smaller rig! Fortunately, we had completely unloaded the fifth wheel last spring when we returned home from spending the winter in AZ, so there's a lot less stuff we'll have to unload now.

We're looking forward to receiving information about WIT and hope there are some get togethers in the West, particularly in the SW during the winter, that we can attend. Any get togethers in Quartzsite next month?

(I "left" the Excel Owners Group and "joined" the Winnebago group, but I see the information showing to the left under my avatar still says Excel Owners Club. Anyone know how to go about getting that changed?)

LindaH;

Congratulations on the purchase of your new Winnebago Aspect. Many Winnebago dealers give a 1 year free WIT membership to the purchaser of a new Winnebago. I can't answer for your dealer but I received a I year membership when I purchased mine.

I will attempt to remove your Excel ID and add a Winnebago Owners Club ID.

Don

Thanks for changing me over to the Winnebago Owners Club, Don!

I'm sure we're getting a free 1-year membership to WIT...I *think* I remember the salesperson saying something about that yesterday, but it wasn't high on my priority list at the time, so don't recall exactly what was said. However, all of those little details will be taken care of before we actually take possession.

Congratulations on your new Aspect!! We have a 2013 30C and love it!! We've put almost 12,000 miles on it since Jan of this year. If you ever get to the Winnebago Factory, its worth the tour…nice folks.
Enjoy your new toy and safe travels.
Merry Christmas

The WIT 365 usually get together on Plamosa Road north of Quartzsite. All WIT members are welcome.

Wow! 12,000 miles in less than a year? You've been doing some serious traveling! (Or did you make a trip to Alaska?)

That would be an interesting tour, I'm sure. At this point in time, though, I don't think we'll ever get that far east again. We're now snowbirds and will mostly use the Aspect for traveling around the SW during the winter and perhaps a few short trips in the PNW during the summer.

Do you happen to know the dates for 2014 (I assume it'll be sometime next month)?

It is the week of the big RV show. I sent an email to the WIT 365 asking about plans. Will post when I find out.

Thanks, John, I appreciate that.

I assume there will be a WIT sign out on Plomosa Road directing people to the site? We could always just drive the road until we see it!
