Need rear ladder extension/lower

Anyone know where I can get the following Winnebago part # 130163-06-01A LADDER EXTENSION/LOWER - 24.4" - 2 STEP - BRUSHED ALUMINUM & how much it might cost?

Also is there any place I can check for it used I'd rather not have to pay a dealer for a new one.

Richard:

I leave my extention at home and have replaced it with a 13' folding ladder/step ladder that fits in the upper bay better than the original.

Bought on sale at Lowes for $69. Much more handy than the original extention.

I saw several of the 2 step extensions at the Gambler in Quartzite. As I recall they were on a upper shelf at the back of the main store building near where the water heaters are located. THese are about 2 ft long and mount, or hang, on the rear ladder the same way the 4 step ones hang.

I believe the Gambler has a price of around $40.

I no longer use my roof extension ladder. I have a fold flat 6 foot step ladder with a grab handle. My reluctance to use the extension ladder is because where it rests on the body finish, I somehow wound up scratching the surface of the coach when the ladder unexpectedly shifted. Boy was I upset!

Leaving the extension ladder home gave me more room to store something else.

Hi Ho: I'm with hp1 and DriVer. I never could see a use for the extension, but I have been too lazy to take it out of the coach. I just grab the ladder and pull myself up. The bumper makes a convenient step. If I'm carrying a bunch of stuff it's easier and more stable to get out my little aluminum ladder that I use for windshield cleaning. In 10 years I have yet to use the extension, but if anyone has a good reason to use it I would be interested.
