Jensen 970 CD/DVD not working

Jensen AWM970 DVD player in our Winnebago is not working. CD/DVD will not load. Started out by not ejecting so had to pull out disc with tweezers but now disc will not load at all. Is another model compatable with 970 or is there another manufacturer that makes a replacement unit. Thanks for any info.

Have similar problems w Jensen CD player. I found many dissatisfied owners of Jensen CD player products on various RV WEB sites. My solution was to change media by using the USB port on the Jensen with a thumb drive. .

If your audio unit has a USB port, copy your CDs and DVD's to a thumb drive memory stick (available from Walmart) using a personal computer or laptop. The thumb drive is much smaller then the the multitude of CDs that I used to tote around. Forget about the CD Player, the thumb drive will cost less than the repair.

There are other solutions if your Jensen audio unit supports Apple Products like ipads, or a different technology altogether, get a streaming box like Sling, Hulu or Hopper 3, hook it to your home TV and then receive your video and audio in your RV by using WiFi or satellite.

Sorry, I ment to say ROKU, not HULU. The Roku hardware streaming box will enable you to get Hulu, Netflix and a host o other stuff.

You should be able to replace with a Jensen AWM968, available from several sellers for under $ 170. Exact fit, good chance the wiring connectors will even match up.

Personally, I have never been a fan of Jensen. I have always thought their products were cheaply made. I would suggest looking into replacing it with a different brand, if possible.
