How do I know?

How do I know what Workhorse model I have along with what model Allison transmission I have?
Year:
2004

Winnebago Model:
WFG33V

Is there any digits in the VIN that mean anything?
5B4MP67G143389230

There is also a $4,355 Option (1PN) for the Workhorse 20,700#
I guess standard equipment was Ford chassis?

I need to know this information to order spare filters and such.

Thanks.

20,700 lb chassis=W20. And they W20 only came with a 1000 series Allison in 04. 10th digit means 2004 chassis.

That, and the fact that Winne only put that 33V on the 20,700lb Workhorse or 20,500lb Ford in that year.

GENE: the sixth digit is a 6, which means you have a W-20 thru W-22 chassis. Since you provided the GVWR as 20,700 pounds, that means you have a W-20. The tenth digit indicates the model YEAR, so yours is a 2004. All those chassis came with a 1000 series Allison and the ONLY filter # you need to know for the Allison tranny is part # 29539579, which should have been replaced at 5,000 miles.

The Workhorse database shows the registered owner to be a "Frank G....." with an address in PA, so I'm guessing you are the second owner. This should mean you probably did not receive the recent brake recall notice, and your chassis shows that as "open", meaning it still needs to be completed. If I can help you with any other info, please send me a PM. Ed

Thanks for all the replies. Lots of information. Yes, a gentleman by the name of Frank in PA owned it before I. I have a appointment in January for the brake recall.
I plan on registering it with Workhorse and Winnebago in the next week.
