Hole in bathroom

My brother has a 2006 35' Itasca Sunrise. In the bathroom there is a 2" hole that has a hose attached to it. It does nothing. You can stick a garden hose down it, but can't tell where it goes. Does anyone no what this is?? Thank you.

Could it be a heat register?

That's what we thought that it was a heat sourse but no air comes out of it when the furnace is on. No air comes out of it when the heat pump is on. So far it is a mistery.

It might be a heat vent coming from the aux. heater AKA MotorAid system. Turn the dashboard Aux. heater switch ON and check for air flow.

The heat from the motor comes out the furnace vents. This hole must serve some purpose we just don't no what. It dosen't seem to matter what we do it just dosen't do anything.

Could it be a improperly modified plumbing vent stack?

Try running the furnace with all the cargo bins closed. It could be a return air from something below the floor. My Journey has a grill under the shower that serves a similar purpose or it could simply be a vent to prevent moisture buildup somewhere.

How close is the duct to the holding tanks or water tank?

We might be able to tell if you can post a picture or at least say where the hole is located.

I have a 05 Itasca Sunova 29R and have this same hose in the bed room. I believe this hose is to supply heat to the lower compartment which has the water hookups. I have never felt the outlet in this compartment when the furnace is running but i will sometime.

Thanks for all the information I have learned from IRV2.
